It's funny what things go through her mind when she's fighting, morphing, or otherwise kicking butt or getting her butt kicked. Like right now, as she's crawling through the debris of her broken zord and trying to focus on getting out alive before the thing catches fire, she's remembering the other day with Kim.
They had been out shopping when they had caught Kimberly's old friends staring at them. Trini had commented on it. Kim had apologized, explaining that Trini, simply by association, has also become labeled by the school as a "bad girl". Trini's never cared about being a bad girl or fitting in, but she had cared about the pain she'd seen in Kim's eyes and had kissed her so passionately in front of the world that, when they'd looked up again, Kimberly's old friends had all disappeared.
Suddenly, Trini feels a hand clasp hers; Kimberly helps to pull her from the rumble. "The others?" Gently, she touches the one scratch she sees on Kimberly's face and brings her blood to her lips. It tastes sweet.
"I dunno. We've gotta find them. They've gotta be okay!"
"They will be."
"How do you know?"
"Because we're us. Not just bad girls, not just friends. The five of us are something special, and I'm not just talking about as Rangers."
"We are, aren't we?"
"Yeah, we are, but if we are to be damned, I want to be damned with you." They kiss before resuming the search for the rest of their family.
