Word count: 150
The blindfold was torn off and Darcy blinked in the sudden bright light. She squinted and Natasha’s face came into focus.
“You..." Darcy sucked in a breath. “You came.”
“I promised you I'd always be there for you,” Natasha said. She had a wicked looking bruise around her left eye. With a quick flash of a knife she cut Darcy free of the ropes binding her to the chair. “Are you hurt?”
“No, they didn’t touch me, are you?” Darcy rubbed her raw wrists once she had gotten to her feet.
“I'm fine. The guys that took you, not so much.”
“My hero,” Darcy fluttered her eyelashes and kissed Natasha on the cheek. “I'm so happy you took your wedding vows seriously.”
“Every word,” Natasha took her wife's hand, squeezing tight. “This way. We need to get out of here.”
Darcy waved her other hand. “Onward McDougal. Or MacDuff. Whichever.”
